1. Is there evidence that VP candidates use geographic language in strategic ways? 2. How does VP use of geographic language compare to patterns of use by presidential candidates? 

This preliminary work examines the use of geographic language in the vice-presidential debates. By categorizing and analyzing geographic language used by candidates in the 2016 and 2020 VP debates.
