Description

The Clayton Map of Lauderdale, Franklin (Colbert), and Lawrence Counties of 1864 was drawn by the Engineering Officer under General Clayton at the time General Hood was at Tuscumbia and Florence (October-November 1864) on his way to the Battles of Franklin and Nashville.

The photograph was made from the original map at the Alabama Archives in Montgomery, Alabama by William Lindsey McDonald and is housed within his collection.
