Description
Tennessee Valley Authority Nitrate Plant Two was constructed in Muscle Shoals, Alabama after President Woodrow Wilson authorized the project in 1916. The plant was one of two nitrate plants in the area. The first TVA nitrate plant is in Sheffield Alabama. Photographs of the employee housing and support facilities associated with the nitrate plants are available in the Nitrate Plant Image Gallery.
