Description
The first article, "Daddies at Graduation" (1978), addresses the bittersweet experiences of local historian William Lindsey McDonald, while attending the graduation of his oldest daughter, Nancy McDonald Buttram, from the School of Nursing at the University of North Alabama.
The second article, "A Nurse in Uniform," (1979), features McDonald's reflection on his daughter's career in nursing.

Comments
The first article, "Daddies at Graduation," was written in 1978, while the second, "A Nurse in Uniform," was written in 1979.
