Description

Leo I's health began failing in February 1987 when his trainers began noticing him favoring his rear leg and his loss of appetite. His health deteriorated from then on. After talking with the University of Tennessee Veterinary doctors, Leo was put to sleep in his travel trailer on January 20, 1988, sparing him any more hurt and misery. A celebration of life occurred on his birthday, April 14, 1988. He was 14 1/2 years old.
