Description

Depiction of the members of Beta Beta Beta, biology honors society, derived from the 1961 Diorama, the student yearbook. 

First Row: Clay Hurley, Vera Honeycutt, Harlon Phillips, Martha Hicks, Gayla Stutts, Richard Boutelle, Shirley Prince, Mr. Holland. Second Row: Herbert Weeks, Wayne Sisk, Carol Reid, Joe Cooney, Conley Ballinger, Margaret Tate, Ray Handley, Cynthia Romine, Carlie Dubois, Shirley Tate, Randall Strait.

In the words of the Diorama: "Beta Beta Beta is a society of students of the biological science. It emphasizes a three-fold program: stimulation of sound scholarship; dissemination of scientific knowledge; and promotion of biological research. Candidates for full membership must major or minor in biology, complete two years of biology with a scholastic average of 2.0 and maintain an average of 1.5 in all other courses."

The organization is now typically known as Tri-Beta.
