Abstract
University classes have a variety of assessments to determine if the students have learned the material. However, the researchers contend attendance is a strong predictor of class success. By comparing the number of absences and the final grade, statistically significant relationships were found. The variables of gender and academic major were also examined to ascertain if they are factors. Interesting conclusions were made as well as implications for practice.
