Text accompanying photograph-"The Amphitheater was dedicated in May 1934 as a memorial to the 'valor and patriotism of the men of this college who served in the World War..' Until the opening of the Lurleen Burns Wallace Fine Arts Center in 1969, most campus-wide events occurred at the amphitheater. It remains a favorite gathering place for campus and community today."
