RESOLUTION

Commending The University of North Alabama Basketball Team
Whereas, the University of North Alabama basketball team has become the champions of the Gulf South Conference, placed first both in the Gulf South Conference and the South Central Regional Tournaments, and advanced to the NCAA Division Il quarterfinals.
Whereas, the University of North Alabama Lions have been a tremendous source of pride to its fans.
Whereas, the University of North Alabama basketball team finished the season with a 22-9-0 overall record, achieved through hours of practice, working together as one, with a strong sense of spirit, with a great deal of technical skill and under the direction of head Coach Bill Jones and his assistants: Wendell Hundson, Ricky Stukes, Eddie Griggs, Roger Mardis and Alec Winston.
Now therefore, be it resolved by the Student Government Association of the University of North Alabama, that we do congratulate and commend the University of North Alabama basketball team for their championship participation in the Gulf South Conference, the South Central Region, and the NCAA Division II finals.
Be it further resolved, that copies of this resolution be sent to President Robert M. Guillot on behalf of the University of North Alabama, coaches, assistants, and each member of the team.
