Description
Dr. William G. Cale, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 10, 1947. He received a bachelor's degree in Zoology from Penn State University in 1969 and then obtained a doctorate in Zoology with specialization in Systems Ecology from the University of Georgia in 1975. He began teaching after graduation, working as an associate and then full Professor of Ecology and Environmental Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas from 1975-1989. He became associate dean and college master of the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Texas at Dallas from 1983-1985 and again from 1987-1989. He also became head of the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas from 1985-1989.
